Description: 19th century French Louis Philippe commode, Circa 1860 A very fine commode, very sought after in today’s minimalist design trends. Notice the fined matched crotch mahogany veneers on this fine chest. The commode is in excellent, original condition and maintains the original marble gray marble top, typical of the period. The chest rests on short shaped bracket feet. Three large drawers comprise the major body of the chest with a typical curved and shaped smaller drawer which tucks snugly underneath the marble top. The drawer interiors are made of secondary wood of oak with dovetailed joinery. This is a great chest for many decors and a great value for the price. Dimensions are: 50l x 22 ½ x 38h
