Description: This is a spectacular American hand hewn blanket chest in soft pine. It has one plank top and one plank sides. The strap hinges are blacksmith made. The sides are dovetailed. The chest has a till, but the till cover is missing. These old chest are very hard to find and this one is in great condition with no oxidation inside so that the beauty of the soft pine looks the same as when it was made 200 years ago.
