Welcome! For sale is an American Impressionist early autumn oil on canvas landscape painting featuring golden birches framing a whitewashed barn or farmhouse with a red roof, a brook rushing over and between rocks in the foreground and a winding path to the left. In the background, low foothills rise against a cloudy blue and gray sky. This lovely painting measures 24 inches wide and 20 inches high, set in a cream white stained wooden frame measuring 28 inches wide by 23 3/8 inches high. It is signed on the lower right, but the signature pretty much blends in with the background paint and is difficult to read. T 's a C and an R and some other letters that I can't make out. Despite that, this painting is in very good condition, with just a little dirt and foxing on the back of the canvas. T is no paint loss that I can detect. The backing paper has been removed, with some of it still adhering to the wooden canvas stretcher. T is picture wire for hanging.
