It was published in 1895 by The Eagle Publishing Co. The book has several contributing authors which cover a multitude of every day issues from that time period. This is like several mini volumes in one -with each volume having a lithograph plate of the author. Here is a small summary of the preface of the book - “Never before in the history of our country have the plain, honest, practical people, the backbone of the nation, taken so much interest in the questions of the day. The true earnest citizen is not content to be a mere echo for his party leader but is thinking for himself and acting in a manner that often bewilders and alarms the professional politician. We believe that no other single volume presents an equal array of talent such as distinguishes the well known authors of the various subjects.”

I really have top stop myself from reading and typing the entire book here! The condition is very good having only a small tear to the top corner of the spine, some yellowing of a few pages, but all in all I have to say that this is one really great antique book, that you will really enjoy reading and it will look very impressive on the library shelf or coffee table. It measures 6 1/8” x 8 ½” x 2 ¼”.
