Description:
Here is a nice small sized collection of three exceptional medals form the Improved Order of the Red Men. The large one on the left is a ribbon with a gold metallic tassels on the bottom and a separate but attached looks like brass or brass colored medallion of an Indian in full head dress with a porcelain medallion inside of that with the words IMP’D O.R.M. (order of the red men) Pennsylvania. On the ribbon itself it reads – OCKLOKONEE TRIBE, NO. 212 IMP’D O.R.M. OXFORD, PA. To the right of that medal is a red medal and that has a nice sort of a pin back button with an Indian in a full head dress. On the head dress band it reads – TOTE. The red ribbon itself reads – 106TH SESSION GREAT COUNCIL OF PENNA. IMPROVED ORDER OF RED MEN OXFORD, PA. JUNE 9-11, 1955. The Last medal at the bottom has a pin on medal that reads Diamond Jubilee at the top with the American flag and a bronze or bronze colored medal medallion hanging form that with the words – freedom, friendship and charity with an embossed head of an Indian in the center. So all in all here is a wonderful small sized exceptional collection of fraternal ribbons memorabilia. The box measures 8 1/8” x 12 ¼” x ¾” and the largest metal measures 8” long x 2 ¼”w, the medium one measures 6 ½” long x 1 7/8”w and the smallest one is 3 ¼” long x 1 ½” at widest.
