Item Description:
This is a handsome antique English solid oak court cupboard buffet sideboard server. It features a cabinet on top that has two shelves and its door and sides have paneled surfaces adorned with fretwork and beautiful floral carvings and it has a lovely tear drop pull. The top surface is in good condition for its age and its front has floral carvings and two gorgeous large cup and cover supports with acanthus leaves. This buffet has two smooth operating drawers, one that is felt lined with a divider, that are well built with dovetail joinery and they have beautiful facings adorned with floral and scroll carvings and they have matching pulls with fancy floral hardware. One of the drawers has a maker’s label of: J Hunter & Co Ltd. There are two cabinets that have a total of four shelves and they have beautiful paneled doors also adorned with floral carvings and fancy fretwork. This piece may have some light signs of wear but overall it is in very good cosmetic and structural condition and it is strong and sturdy. This handsome piece of furniture will make a great addition to any room you choose to display it in.
