Description:
This counter box, originally made to hold card or gaming counters, has a cylindrical form.
The box has pierced filigree decoration.
The push fit detachable cover also has filigree decoration, as has the base.
The cover is inset with the original circular enamel panel depicting the Jack or Knave of Clubs.
This box is very good quality.
Apart from four of the claws that secure the enamel panel being missing, and even wear to the enamel panel, the box is in excellent condition.
As expected for this type of counter box, there are no hallmarks.
