Description: A Most Charming Porcelain Sugar Bowl and Lid, of Classical Form, Circa 1810 to 1815, Made by the Spode Porcelain Factory of England. The Body and Lid are Decorated with Deep Rich Cobalt Blue with reserves painted with a Mother and her Child relaxing, and playing. Accented with Rich Gilt Details of Scrolling Vines and Fruit. In Excellent Condition. Though not marked with the word "Spode" the bottom does have the number (1217) that correlates with the pattern in many Spode Reference books. A Very Fine Example.
