Description: Gorgeous handmade bag; One of a kind skillfully crafted with red silk dupioni, antique beaded flower, black glass beads, assorted silks, and brocade linen trim; Attached to handbag is a vintage photo of Lucy Rose with a laminated story that fits in the front pocket. Lucy Rose was the daughter of a preacher in the deep south; she led a life destined to become an old maid. One day a traveling circus came to town and the highlight of this show was a medicine man named Roy Parker; They fell in love and married. Lucy became part of his show; and together, they developed a linament called Rose Water and from town to town they went promoting the linament as a cure for whatever ails you. The marriage and the linament was a long term success.
