Description: Charles Copeland Boston 1858-1945.Well known for his watercolors so you can only imagine my excitement when I acquired this painting. Watercolor on paper” Lambertville Haystacks” The work is exquisite; the muted colors of fall are breathtaking. Signed on the lower left “Copeland 86”.The sight size is 21 ¾” x 15”.Overall in the masterpiece quality frame 29” x 25”.The frame I should mention is original carved wood gesso & gold gilt .This painting has been recently rematted with acid free backing. I have been to Lambertville many times ,its one of the most beautiful historic areas !
