Description: Handmade, custom-made, solid-mahogany Federal / Regency / Sheraton Duncan Phyfe Arm Chair with Scalamandre Mill Italian Lisere fabric. Kiln-dried and doweled frame, reeded arms and legs, block panel inlay, chevron inlay on inside arms, fully upholstered back, tight seat, hand-rubbed finish. Dimensions: 37" high x 24" deep x 24" wide. Seat height 19'". Pictures were taken in my warehouse, which had just received a large delivery of rugs so my apologies for the distracting backgrounds (and motorcycles too).

This chair is handmade and hand-finished by our master furniture makers in America. We sell this chair as a special order only, and in any fabric or leather. What is shown here is a green-striped lisere, but the fabric is also available on other pieces with pink, blue, yellow, red, or peach stripes. This fabric comes from the same mill Scalamandre uses in Italy.

The chair for auction here was a floor sample in our store and is brand new and is in brand new condition. Because it is new, it comes with a five-year warranty against any defects, exclusive of fabric or fabric wear. A similar sofa with the same green lisere fabric is being auctioned now. Please see my other listings. Please note: the brass nail head Federal swag pattern is extremely difficult to execute, which is why today you hardly ever see it on new pieces of furniture. The pattern must be plotted out ahead of time, and the nails must be applied by hand, one by one, with a wooden mallet. (Most nail heads on today's pieces are applied with a nail gun using nails that are linked together. Not ours.)

Finally, I want people to know that many companies claim their furniture is American or English made, but in truth most of the work, especially the carving, is done in Asia (or India, the Philippines, or similar). Only later are all the pieces assembled or finished in America or England. Not ours. All of our furniture is handmade from start to finish in America or England.

I am listing, and will continue to list other pieces of high-end furniture, both new and antique, so please check my other listings frequently.
