Description: Gorgeous Victorian Walnut Renaissance Revival Sofa attributed to John Jeliff, Newark, New Jersey. Three beautifully carved crests across the back and the dynamic shape of the frame, notice the accentuated frame, almost making the form of a tete a tete with a small mid section in between, this is high style Victorian at its best! The three pierced carved crests, as well as the arms, featuring carved busts, are all done in the manner of Jeliff. There are four fancy turned front legs and the frame is in fine original condition. The previous owner reupholstered the sofa and the fabric is in useable condition. We could have it reupholstered in your choice of fabric for an additional fee.
