Description: This is a bisque antique early German Kewpie. The earliest classic Kewpie dolls were made of bisque mostly by German dollmaking firms. They were first produced in 1912, they were unmarked except for the made in Germany on the backside of the doll. The topnotch says this is one of the earliest dolls, he has a beautiful hand painted face with a little red dot under each nostril. Jointed arms and legs. On the back of the doll it says Germany and under that 10954 and underneath 3/0. Note: Small flake barely noticable on right heel.
