(c. 1880).The original gilding is in superior condition with just the right color and patina!!The clock case is made of the finest black marble,decorated with gilt bronze ornaments .This is the most wonderful mantel clock you will ever find in this fantastic condition! The silvered dial with the Roman numurals and the original steel hands are gorgeous.The clock is provided with the original pendulum with sunface and key.Below the clockwork is a fantastic ornament with two eagles on a rock. Perfect running and striking condition with 8 days going work and the 1/1 and 1/2 hours striking on a silvered bronze bell.The movement is cleanded by an official clock maker and is driving on a spring suspension,is in wonderful condition, run reliably and keep accurate time.The black marble has a minimum haircracks but that raise the beauty of this fantastic antique clock !!The silvered dial is signed with:" Du Moulin a Nantes" and probably made by Jaques Du Moulin, a very famous clockmaker in France in that time.We acquired this marvelous Empire clock from a French estate in the South of France near Cannes.The dimensions are: Height: 16 Inches,Width: 10,5 Inches and Dept: 4,5 Inches.Regarding shipping we will pack this clock in a wooden box so you will receive it without any damage.
