Description:
A French Louis XV/XVI (Transitional) Style European Oak Confiturier –– 1st quarter 1900’s – Very Good Condition. These versatile small cabinets were once used to store confit—jams ,jellies, and other food items in France.
Today, they are used as cabinets for sinks, end tables, linens, food and more. They are wonderful for those small areas where a narrow width is needed. The front door has a musical trophy hanging from a tied ribbon in the Louis XVI style. The drawer underneath the serpentine top has vines centered by a steel drop handle. The feet, in the Louis XV style, are ornamented with relief elongated leaves.
