Description: A Truly Magnificent PERIOD Louis XVI Marquis, or Settee, Circa 1785 to 1790, in it's Original Aubusson Tapestry, Made in France of Carved Oak and Gesseoed with a Fine Layer of Hand applied Gilt, that seems to be Original to the Piece. Purchased from an Important Private Parisian Collection, through TAJAN Art and Antiques Galleries and Auctions, Paris, France, in 1975. No Breaks or Repairs of Any Kind. Fabric in Remarkable Condition, beautiful warm Patina to the Gilt, and is Actually Rather Comfortable! In Overall Excellent to Pristine Condition.
