Description:
DESCRIPTION: THE MUSICAL CONTEST. The painting is a re-interpretation of "The musical contest” by the renowned French artist Jean-Honoré Fragonard. As he was a representative of rococo, an artistic style evolved from the early eighteenth century, evolving from the late Baroque (the term "rococo" has a disparaging connotation: rococo derives from the French word used to describe the stones and rocks used in the gardens as embellishment), his works are distinguished by the great elegance, magnificence and ostentation, characterized by wavy branches, undulating curls and floral arabesques. His paintings are characterized by a particular use of light and a rarefaction of shares used as expedient to make light of some parts such as drapery and elegant hair female.
