Description:
This book is a collection of articles written by William Heacock, from 1974 to 1980 for the Antique Trader Weekly and the monthly Glass Review magazine. As the author of more than a dozen books on early American glassware, William Heacock was probably considered to be this country's leading authority in the field at the time. He was Senior Editor of the Glass Riview magazine, a monthly periodical for glass collectors, and a featured columnist for The Antique Trader Weekly, America's most popular newpaper on antiques and collectibles. His quarterly newsletter, The pattern Glass Review, was followed closely by thousands of collectors, dealers and glass students. He built a career as a dealer specializing in glassware of the Victorian era. His interest in research drew him into museums and libraries across the country, in an endless search for information which was not available in existing glass reference books. This soft bound book is 9" x 6", 230 pages with many illustrations, in excellent condition. The title page has one corner cut off. No tears, rips or bent or missing pages.
