Description: YOu don't need to be in a renaissance fair to wear something as lovely as this medieval looking vintage large ( almost 3") shield necklace. It is really gorgeous and has rich colors of red and green painted on the reverse side of the intaglio glass. Made by Coro, these intricate reverse painted intaglio shields are part of a line that I have a few other pieces of ( they are signed, this one is not). You can tell by the quality and heavy metal work that these were not inexpensive when first purchased. The chain appears to be newer and it is a fancy rope gold filled chain that measures 23" long. You can wear this with a sweater or let it show on a low cut blouse. Much nicer than the photos, this is a nice quality vintage piece. And now for the tedious part that you probably already know: PLease remember that vintage & antique items are not mint, nor are they perfect but they sure are full of old history and charm. All items are sold as is and as found (used and probably vintage) Since this is Irreplaceable there can be no returns on this sale.. Please use photos to make your decisions. My definition of Vintage is a style or method formerly in vogue. Remember that old glue and hot post offices may cause some stones in vintage pieces to loosen in shipping
