I am Shirley Mawyer, the owner of both Vintage Bits, collectibles, and The Odd Chest, antique and distinctive furniture shop (eBay name: theoddchest).
My Gordonsville, Virginia shop sells English antique furniture, which comes directly from estates in the United Kingdom. The Odd Chest came into being several years ago at a church meeting. The head of a drug and alcohol ministry, Betel of Birmingham, England, asked our group if someone would be willing to buy antique furniture from them and sell it in the states. Estate clean-out and furniture restoration is one of the vocational enterprises of their ministry.
Vintage Bits grew out of the furniture business while we searched for items to accessorize the furniture.
We have a wonderful collection of Roman Seraphim Angels, David Winter Cottages, Precious Moments, Teapots and China.
