Description: HANDSOME SCOTTISH 8 DAY LONGCASE CLOCK WITH PAINTED DIAL SIGNED BY JAMES MURDOCK, NEWTON AYR. JAMES MURDOCK IS A LISTED CLOCKMAKER WORKING IN NEWTON AYR, SCOTLAND IN 1837. THE CASE IS BEAUTIFULL FLAME MAHOGANY WITH A GREAT PATINA. THE FACE IS PAINTED WITH THE FOUR SEASONS AND HAS ROBBY BURNS PULLING A PLOUGH AT THE TOP OF THE DIAL. THE CLOCK MOVEMENT HAS BEEN RECENTLY CLEANED AND OVERHAULED BY A MASTER CLOCKMAKER AND CARRIES A 2 YEAR GUARANTEE. THE CLOCK STRIKES THE HOUR ON A BELL AND IS TOTALLY ORIGINAL TO THE CASE - AS IS THE PAINTED DIAL WHICH IS UNTOUCHED AND IN ORIGINAL CONDITION.
