Description:
Whimsical 19th century Staffordshire tobacco humidor. I would assume the subject would be called "Tea Time"?? You can see she is a sweet little old lady sipping her tea with a smile on her face. No one would ever suspect she is hiding her tobacco inside. She is so well decorated in her lavender housecoat. Where her dress is exposed you might be able to see all those flower petals are raised enamel beads as well as all along the edge of her dress. Now for the bad news, there is a chip under her right elbow, a little chip on her right pinky finger, cream pitcher handle is chipped off, and tiny specks of color lost on her orange shoes. A rather unique subject dating from the 19th century. Measuring 8 1/8" high, 4 1/8" across the center and 6" deep.
